Go Play NW 2010 is comin' up June 18-20

Hey guys - just a quick shout out that Go Play NW 2010 is fast approaching June 18-20 and registration is open. We're in a new venue this year (again). It's a big mansion that by day is a literary/theatre arts center. It's got a bunch of small spaces, a cabaret theatre and a larger theatre too (see the floor plan and pictures). It should make for a great gaming venue and have much better sound dampening than last year, noise control being the #1 complaint.

For those new to GPNW, it's 3-day story/indie game weekend in Seattle that's totally focused on play, but also with lots of built-in time to socialize during meals and breaks. We kick-off with a communal dinner at the venue on Friday.

The schedule and forums for game discussions and archives of previous years are up. The Harper t-shirt and the Friday dinner menu are up too. Last day for dinner registration and t-shirt purchases is May 24.

Hope to see the usual strong PDX/OR contingent again this year!

We are closing on our house just prior to GPNW so I won't be able to take the train on Thursday and return Monday as I'd planned.

So I'm driving yet again.  I expect I have room for at least one more, possibly two.  My current plan is to leave Portland Friday at high noon and return Sunday just after the SUN-02 slot (4:15 pm).

If you are interested in a ride given this timetable please let me know.

I will point this thread out to a few others I know are attending GPNW.

I am pretty damn excited about this event.  If you're not registered yet, do!  And check the GPNW forums as games are starting to be scheduled.  (I'm mostly planning to do the pick-up game thing).

I'm really looking forward to GPNW.  I haven't had a chance to look at the forum to see what games are shaping up.  I need to hire a game valet to manage my schedule for me.
